BRAND REFRESH PROPOSAL BY MIA HARDEN
Slutty Vegan ATL is an Atlanta based burger joint, located in the historic West End area. Slutty Vegan ATL rolled out in the summer of 2018 and has grown tremendously since. The restaurant is a national phenomenon and celebrity hotspot.
During the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to enter Slutty Vegan's t-shirt design contest and I WON! The rules were simple – create a shirt design for the brand and they'd make it the official brand tee. I decided to go for it! I brainstormed and came up with multiple concepts for the shirts. However, while working on the brand tees, I was inspired to look deeper into a brand refresh. As a result of understanding the importance of clear, cohesive, and concise branding – I went for it, again.
BRAND REFRESH PROPOSAL
Logo variations are important. Why? Versatility. Logo versatility is important to brand growth. For instance, this brand needed variations because of the many types of collateral it possesses. Slutty Vegan ATL has a website, social media, a storefront, shirts, cups, bags, sandwich wrap, billboards*, and more. As you take a look around this webpage, you may spot a few of these. It is important that brands have the right variation on the collateral that they are presenting at the time.
MERCHANDISE (TEE DESIGNS)
Woo, I WON! Above are original tee designs and slogans by Mia Harden, which were selected by the community of Slutty Vegan ATL. The shirts are now the official brand tees for Slutty Vegan ATL.
The tee designs & slogans were such a hit that the Slutty Vegan staff chose all five designs.
As a millennial, content creator, and brand designer – I thoroughly understand the in's and out's of social media, as well as the current trends in culture and media. I understood that the designs needed to remain on-brand + cohesive, while also appealing to their audience through the voice of the brand.
